It is 1947. On a beach in Normandy, Madeleine, a waitress and young mother, meets the wealthy intellectual François. A loving but fragile relationship begins. Director's Biography:The director and screenwriter Katell Quillévéré was born in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire as the daughter of a computer scientist and a biology teacher. She studied film and philosophy at the University of Paris VIII.
