A jury of six young German and French youths awards the German-French Youth Prize KINEMA for the best debut or second film from German- or French-speaking countries. The state of Lower Saxony, the German-French Youth Office, the Académie the Académie de Rouen in Normandy, the Friedrich Friedrich Walz Foundation, the Institut français and the Kinema e.V. support the film prize of 2,500 euros for the film prize.
