Angola in 1974. The war of independence is almost over, a large part of the Portuguese colonial power has been driven out of the country. A young indigenous woman sets out to become a nun and thereby makes the momentous acquaintance of a Portuguese soldier. At the same time, a whole battalion full of young Portuguese recruits bravely holds its ground until it is confronted with the ghosts of the past in a very tangible way. And Brigitte Bardot also plays a role.

An elegantly filmed reflection on Angola's colonial history, oscillating between genres, and a reference to the epochal effects of colonialism.
