PIAFFE is Ann Oren's first feature-length film. At the Locarno Film Festival, the "beguilingly sensual choreography of physical and photographic movement, of sounds and delicate living colours" was considered an insider's tip of the new avant-garde film. At the centre is Eva, a young woman who immerses herself in the sound world of a horse for a film. A world of erotic fantasy opens up to her, on the one hand in the (surreal) transformation of her body, on the other through an intimate encounter with a botanist. Ann Oren: "There is a game of submission and consent." PIAFFE is a sensual work about overcoming classic gender roles and an homage to cinema.

Director's Biography:Ann Oren, born in Tel Aviv in 1979, has lived in Berlin since 2015. She studied film and visual arts in New York and is known for her short experimental films and video installations.
