Life is meaningless. Eighth-grader-to-be Pierreis firmly convinced of this and climbs up a tree from which he does not want to come down again. Driven by this hopelessness his classmates try to convince him of the opposite and go more than one step too far.In their search for meaning, the young people plunge into a downward spiral. NOTHING is the adaptation for the screen of the scandalous Danish bestseller by Janne Teller for the screen. In Denmark the book was banned from some schools. The nihilistic film tries hard to find something worth living for in the nothingness.
