At the end of the 19th century, the young Danish priest Lucas, full of verve and ideals, embarks on the arduous journey to a remote part of Iceland to build a church and photograph the people there. Director's Biography:Hlynur Pálmason, born 1984 in Hornafjörður, Iceland, studied in Copenhagen and is considered an outstanding directorial talent. His idiosyncratic debut WINTER BROTHERS as well as A WHITE WHITE DAY won numerous awards. GODLAND is his third feature film.
