1980 in the southern Iranian city of Abadan. Fear and chaos break out after a missile is dropped on a refinery. 14-year-old Omid, still too young to fight at the front, joins his grandfather and refuses to flee. He wants to wait for the return of his beloved brother, who is fighting at the front. But how can resistance occur in war without resorting to weapons? When Omid finds an abandoned ship at the harbour one day, he also finds the answer to his question. Director Sepideh Farsi's detailed narration and reduced animation style offer a deep insight into the everyday life of people during the first Iran-Iraq war.
