Peace has returned to Ukraine in 2025. Sergei, a former steelworker and soldier, uses his tanker to supply the east of the country with drinking water. On his journey through deserted areas and a withered environment, he meets battered people who are laboriously making their way to a normal life beyond war, death and destruction. Then he meets Katja ... The film, already shot in 2019, anticipates the Ukraine war and is at the same time a retrospective of it. It tells of a dead country made uninhabitable by war and environmental destruction. As well as of speechless people who want to find a road back to life. It is a long road.

Director's Biography:Three works by Valentyn Vasyanovych are among the best 100 films of Ukrainian cinema. The producer and director, born in 1971, has also received numerous international awards. Studied as a cameraman and then as a film director.
