In this typical 60s rogue comedy, Senta Berger plays the tough American Maggie, who plans a spectacular jewel heist in Naples with her accomplice. To carry it out, she needs the support of local gangsters who have their own plans. This leads to conflicts typical of this genre, unexpected obstacles and entanglements. This is not least due to the fact that the jewels adorn the figure of Jesus San Gennaro, whom the people of Naples worship. After her return from the USA in 1969, Senta Berger appeared mainly in Italian and French productions of various genres in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Director's Biography:Dino Risi was one of Italy's most renowned directors - and a master of comedy. His more than 50 films starred countless Italian and foreign stars, including Sophia Loren, Lino Ventura, Marcello Mastroianni and Vittorio Gassmann, as well as Romy Schneider, Catherine Deneuve, Anita Ekberg and Roger Moore.
