In a mystical and surreal limbo somewhere between Tehran and Winnipeg, the lives of several characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Elementary school pupils Negin and Nazgol find a sum of money frozen in the winter ice and try to claim it. At the same time, Massoud leads a group of increasingly confused tourists through Winnipeg’s monuments and historic sites. Matthew quits his meaningless job in a government office in Quebec and embarks upon a mystifying journey to visit his mother. Space, time and personal identities become mingled and intertwined, reverberating in a surreal comedy of deception.

Director's Biography:Matthew Rankin: Canadian director, born 1980 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Studied history and film at the universities in Manitoba / Laval and film in Iran. Known for avant-garde and experimental films with a unique aesthetic.
