“I've never seen anything like it...,” is a common phrase in this film. We are right in the middle of a snowstorm in Texas, swarms of locusts in Kenya, a sea contaminated by slimy microorganisms in Turkey, forest fires in Siberia and in the Ahr valley. We experience the entire spectrum of the climate catastrophe. The special thing about this project is the footage itself: Filmmakers Jon Siskel and Greg Jacobs collected hundreds of hours of private mobile phone footage and used it to compose a film in which the images speak for themselves. For as much as we know about the effects of the climate catastrophe, this abstract knowledge has little impact on us compared to real experiences.

Director's Biography:Greg Jacobs and Jon Siskel are the founders of Siskel/Jacobs Productions, a Chicago-based documentary production company specializing in films that tackle vital stories with integrity, complexity, and emotion. Their first documentary, the landmark History Channel special 102 MINUTES THAT CHANGED AMERICA, won three Primetime Emmys, was named the Best Nonfiction TV Episode of the year by iTunes, and has since been seen by more than fifty million people in over 150 countries.
