A couple sleeping - the peaceful scene at the beginning develops into a clever study of a relationship between the infatuation of young lovers and a functioning marriage. Lucia and Marcelo, both 30, want to buy their first apartment with $100,000 in cash. But the purchase date is postponed and they are suddenly left to their own devices for 24 hours. Money, violence, a weapon, sex - the film thwarts all expectations, triggered by these ingredients and uses them to maintain the feverish tension. At any moment the ice of civilisation seems about to crack. The clever use of small spaces and long hand-held camera shots enables both actors to give extremely intense performances.
