Anna lives with her children in a small house in the Donbass. This economic centre, which was already important in the Soviet Union, is today a part of Ukraine and has come under Russia's sphere of interest. Since 2014, the Russian army has occupied areas and a state of emergency has prevailed. To counteract the dreary, increasingly dangerous everyday life with something playful and lively, the family records small and large events from their lives on video. The film accompanies the family for a while and observes how political decisions from afar affect the mother and her children personally. Stocktaking from an forzen region for which things are going downhill.

Director's Biography:Iryna Tsilyk, a writer and director who studied at Karpenka Karoho University in Kyiv, was born in 1982. In addition to her work as a documentary film director, she writes poetry and texts that have been translated into several languages.
