”The fillm is a Norwegian drama, not a blockbuster”, says producer Maria Ekervord about the film. DIRK OHM - DISAPPEARING ILLUSIONIST” is based on a real incident: In winter 2003, Dirk Ohm, a magician from Peine, travels to Norway and disappears near the small community of Grong. Inspired by this, the author and the producer reconstruct the final days of Dirk Ohm as pure fiction. The illusionist is supposed to use his skills to find the missing girl, Maria. In the process he reaches the limits of his abilities and his emotional state. The film portrays the events against the backdrop of winter in Norway, in calm and atmospherically intense images.
