Crisis, that is everyday life: Welcome to Yemen. A liberal family is in a dilemma. The father, a journalist, loses his job. The rent is drastically increased. School fees are due. Simultaneously, his wife becomes pregnant for the fourth time. As much as the family wants another child, they realise that they cannot afford it. All family members have already reached the subsistence level. Support from the barely existing state cannot be expected, abortion is forbidden and social conventions leave no room for manoeuvre.

A realistic film without artificial script compression from and about Yemen. Not a drama, but real life.

Director's Biography:Amr Gamal is active in many fields: as a screenwriter, producer, theater and film director. He writes plays and directs them for the theater company he founded. All his works give Yemen a voice and, above all, worldwide attention.
