Glauber Rocha once said that the movie is set in the future. Fittingly, it was shot in Brasilia (i.a.): the showcase project of urban science fiction. If you look for this movie’s story, you may find the following: A Black, a revolutionary, an indigenous man and a soldier look for something in three of the big cities of Brazil: Salvador de Bahia, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. But maybe they do no look for anything and, in fact, they want to give something. A IDADE DA TERRA is a maelstrom of words, images and sounds in which past, present and future merge into each other, they combine in a way, that at some point, everything becomes a beautiful stream of consciousness. A cinematic delirium, that one leaves as a new human being.
