In an adaption of his play LAZARUS MAN, scriptwriter and director, Simon Blake makes his big screen debut with STILL, a dark , urban thriller in the modern guise of a film noir. A year ago, Tom Carver, a successful photographer from North London, lost his son in a hit and run accident. Following a seemingly harmless dispute with a youth, Carver heads blindly towards a turning point in his life. The skillfully orchestrated perspective of someone lying in wait, watching their hostile environment, imprisons us in a claustrophobic, downward spiral, which Blake himself describes as a confrontation with ”how vulnerable one is as a parent”.
