A detective is in search of his missing lover. On a stormy night he is stranded injured on a remote estate and meets two man-killing women who involve him in their sadomasochistic games... Nikos Nikolaidis' homage to Otto Preminger's LAURA (1944), staged with much hysteria and absurd comedy, is a transgressive film noir that divides the audience. According to Filmdienst, it "transgresses the boundaries of good taste and presents itself as an echo of 'Greek tragedy' full of perversities and fetishes." At the Thessaloniki Film Festival in 1990 it won the awards for director, leading actress, camera, editing and art direction.
Director's Biography:Writer, director and producer Nikos Nikolaidis (1939-2007) left his mark on the following generation of Greek filmmakers with his controversial oeuvre. He was the only person to receive the "Best Director" award five times at the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
