‘Shibuya, a dream‘ was created in 2020/21, based on a text by the German author Jan Decker, in which the city of Tokyo is described from the perspective of robots in a vision of the future. The robots have unlimited abilities but are unable to develop personal feelings to each other. The images in the film are strongly influenced by Fritz Lang's ’Metropolis’. In this context they show, for example, the famous Peter Behrens Hall in Berlin Wedding and, as a contrast, industrial robots from ABB and exhibition robots from HU Berlin. - The film is accompanied by a piece of music that I wrote in
2017/18 under the title "Match 3".
