The film tells the radically concentrated, clear and unsentimental story of Anita and Fred, both around 70 and married to each other for about 50 years. They have two grown-up children and live in their own little house with a pool and garden. When Fred falls ill, their relationship is plunged into an existential crisis. Anita discovers that Fred has rented a flat behind her back. Does he have a mistress? It wouldn't be the first time. Anita has also taken amorous liberties in the past. "I was interested in what love and sexuality that have somehow lasted a lifetime look like," says the director, whose parents have been married for over 60 years, in an interview.

Director's Biography:Sophie Heldman was born in Hamburg in 1973 and grew up in Switzerland. She studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin in 1996. SATTE FARBEN VOR SCHWARZ was her graduation film and was nominated for the First Steps Award for young filmmakers.
