The award ceremony of the regional and popular short movie contest “Filmklappe” will be once more celebrated during the International Filmfestival Braunschweig. The “Braunschweiger Filmklappe” annually awards movie contributions by students. All pupils and day nurseries in the regions Braunschweig, Hildesheim, Peine, Salzgitter and Wolfenbüttel have the possibility to submit their own, original movies. The topics, the genre or the style (whether animated, feature or documentary movie) may be chosen freely by the crews. For some contributors of the past, the contest has been a stepping stone to the movie industry. They have become active filmmakers in the German movie scene. The winners of 2015 will be presented during the International Filmfestival Braunschweig.
