Like many Central and South American filmmakers of his generation, Diego Rízques looked for inspiration in the lives of its indigenous people – The Yanomami live in the region between Venezuela and Brazil. One of their shamans ingests a psychedelic drug at an historically hard to pinpoint occasion (maybe eternity, paradise?). He is able to see the vain and baleful behavior of the rain forest’s conquerors ... A cinematic trance composed of images, sounds and melodies but without words. A purely cinematographic blank verse poem that opens up new perspectives on the prehistory of Venezuela in a factual, yet estranging manner.
