The Air France flight 139 was abducted by the commando of Che Guevarra at the 27th of June 1976. It consisted of members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, external operations and the Revolutionary Cells. Their destination: Entebbe, an airport near Kampala (Uganda). During the night between July 3rd and July 4th, an intervention force lead by Lieutenant Colonel Yonatan Netanjahu killed all the abductors as well as some of the hostages and freed the remaining hostages. The operation was named Kadur Hara’am: Thunderclap. This is the action flick on the incident, produced by the later employer of Chuck Norris and promoter of Jean Claude van Damme: Menachem Golan. Supported by official institutions. Israel’s Oscar nominee of 1977.
