An aging, alcohol-addled father, Woody, makes a trip of 900 miles from Montana to his home town Nebraska with son David to claim a million dollar sweepstakes marketing prize. But it soon turns out that his friends, relatives and acquaintances are envious of the winnings: a wonderful, tragicomical road movie in black and white.
