Headstrong teenager Elvira grows up in the Sami coastal village of Unjárga in the far north of Norway, and her world is turned upside down. She longs to escape small-town life, her mother's new girlfriend and her pushy classmates. She finally wants to meet her biological father and makes plans to track him down. When he suddenly turns up and causes more trouble and confusion than she can bear, Elvira's dream of a different life is finally shattered. MY FATHERS' DAUGHTER is a film about identity and emancipation. In a blunt and humorous way, it takes us on the emotional rollercoaster ride of a girl finding herself.
