Max, Lenny, the city of Marseille and the music: these are the four main characters of the film. Lenny, the tart and lonely female rapper, and Max, the warm-hearted pupil from the Congo who has to provide for her siblings and grandmother, are not even 18 yet. There was an instant friendship between them from the start. Together they explore Marseille, its rough suburbs and the sea, the poor and the rich parts of the city. So the one gets away from her difficult everyday family life and the other learns to trust herself and her art. For their music (from hip-hop to Mozart) is an essential part of the story and their only hope to escape from their problems.
