A somewhat unmotivated young teacher is transferred from the buzzling capital to the remotest corner in the whole of Bhutan. LUNANA, this is the name of the village, lies in the Himalayas, 3,400 metres above sea level. To get there alone is an arduous adventure that lasts several days. Finally arrived, the young man faces a life without power or internet and work without textbooks or a chalk board. It is quite understandable that he is not excited by this prospect. The villagers, however, welcome him with open arms, for them, only a teacher can positively affect their children’s future. A tender story set against the backdrop of a breathtaking nature, and shot with the inhabitants of Lunana.
