Rhaeto-Romanic is the fourth official language of Switzerland and in danger of extinction. Only 30.000 native speakers still use “Romanic”. 2.000 live in Lumnezia in the Grisons` Alps which is this documentary`s focus. How is it to live with a language whose future seems to be set in stone? How can one conserve culture and tradition? And how to say “goodbye” to something that is not entirely gone yet? A movie about the music and lyric poetry of the Rhaeto-Romans; about calmness, vastness and a fight against oblivion.
