Driven by the constant desire for new objects, almost all of us are surrounded by technical devices whose planned obsolescence forces us to buy new ones on a regular basis. Using the example of French initiatives, this film shows that less can also be more, how you can perhaps even live a more fulfilling life with self-built wind turbines, more mechanics and fewer modern bells and whistles. LOW-TECH shows simple solutions and collective work on alternative constructions. The documentary does not offer a patent remedy for every consumer decision, but the exemplary actors provide visionary food for thought that inspires us to rethink.
