Liza, a 35 year-old nurse, is looking for true love in the fictitious 70’s in Hungary. But her only friend, a dead Japanese popstar, motivated by jealousy, puts the curse of the Fox Fairy on her. From then on every man attracted to her dies on their first date. Can Liza find a way to break the curse? In his feature film debut, Károly Ujj Mészáros skilfully combines the European themes of “Little Red Riding Hood,” Japanese traditions and weird images from Jeunet’s AMÉLIE. This black humour, fantasy comedy is full of suspense and romance, took out five prizes and was the big winner at the Nocturna Madrid International Fantastic Film Festival this year.
