The film from Czech director Kristina Dufková shows that (clay) animated films can master difficult topics. Ben is 12 years old, comes from a divorced family, loves rock music, cooking and, above all, food: Ben is severely overweight. When summer and school start again, he develops a crush on Klara and craves her attention. But his body makes him the target of mobbing. Even the school nurse issues him a stern warning: Ben should go on a diet. Klara is his main motivation and his family and his friend Erik support him. Will Ben regain his lust for life and what will become of his love for Klara?

Director's Biography:Kristina Dufková (born 1978) is a director, animator and artist. For her graduation film A TEAR IS NEEDED (Usnula jsem, 2008) she won the prize for best animated film at Anifest 2009. LIVING LARGE (2024) is her first feature film.
