Teresa (María Vázquez), 42, changes her holiday plans to spend the summer with Ani, her mother (Adriana Ozores), in the countryside. As both are accustomed to living alone, there is no agreement between them, even on trivial matters. The forced cohabitation leads to a series of subtle jibes and accusations. But the involuntary proximity also brings moments of loving recognition for both women. “LITTLE LOVES is not a film about motherhood; perhaps it is about the opposite, daughterhood... It is strange, to say the least, that we have no word in our vocabulary to describe the state of being a daughter, which is probably the only one we all share as human beings and which is imposed on us forever,” says Clavellino.
