Does desire know the law? Not when it`s do with a strident melodrama by Pedro Almodòvar and takes place in the art avant-garde in Madrid: Antonio loves the film-maker Pedro, but Pedro is more interested in Juan, who, in turn, doesn`t want to have anything to do with him. But Antonio also loves Pedro`s sister, Tina, who was once a man. A complicated love entanglement, which escalates when Antonio discovers a love-letter to Pablo, supposedly written by Juan. Murder follows. Pablo realises who Juan`s murderer is. Antonio hides in Tina`s house, which the police then surround. Antonio takes Tina hostage. Can Pablo prevent an even greater disaster taking place?
