A jury of six young German and French youths awards the German-French Youth Prize KINEMA for the best French- or German-language debut or second film, which is supported by the State of Lower Saxony, the Académie de Rouen, Kinema e.V., the Institut français from Bremen, the Friedrich Walz Foundation and the Franco-German Youth Office. The prize is endowed with 2,500 euros.
