After 2018, BIFF once again presents a film by Braunschweig-born producer Martin Kosok. 14-year-old Lea's family falls prey to a cosmic cult that promises salvation in a higher existence on Jupiter. Then the comet comes and Lea and her brother are hastily torn out of their lives. On the hasty journey, Lea's memories reveal her bitter struggle for a place in this world, reaching ever deeper into the past. They also reveal her parents' odyssey in search of an explanation and a cure for their son, who suffers from a severe mental disorder. Lea must decide once and for all whether she will follow her parents to Jupiter.

Director's Biography:Martin Kosok studied theatre and media at the University of Bayreuth and production and media management at the HFF Munich. He co-founded DREIFILM in 2013 and has since worked on several feature-length films, short films and commercials as a producer.
