Love, peace & rock`n roll in Denmark 1962: Eik, a political activist, falls madly in love with Iben (aka Itsi Bitsi). It`s the beginning of a turbulent relationship which leads him and his girlfriend around the world, from Denmark, via Spain to North Africa, Greece and finally to Nepal. The film, based on true events and with lots of period atmosphere, is the story of the emergence of youth and their anti-establishment views, but also of a tragic love story in times of free love. Centre-stage is Eik Skaløe, world traveller, Beat poet, likeable, crazy hippie and charismatic founder of and singer in the legendary Danish rock-band Steppeulven.
