The new section „International Documentary Films” includes 15 documentaries, among them are the films of our series “Focus Canada” and “Green Horizons”. Eleven of these films revolve around the theme the power of art: With a deep interest and keen sense for their protagonists, these films deal with music, architecture, design, dance, musical theater, theater, garden art, and the history of cinema. The thematic spectrum encompasses questions about identity, cultural appropriation and trauma, ideas for the improvement of the quality of life through design, architecture and garden art as well as an unusual, highly poetic film essay about the moon in the history of cinema.
