The young vampire Sasha is very different from her family: While they kill people without a second thought, Sasha does not want to harm anyone. But what happens when a world-weary boy turns up who has decided to end his life? His plan: to let Sasha kill him in order to help her and to end his own suffering. An unexpected friendship, however, thwarts this plan and makes them rethink their perspectives on life and death. With this black comedy, Ariane Louis-Seize won the GDA Director’s Award at the Venice Film Festival. Her feature-film directorial debut presents a mixture of dark humour and profound reflection on the value of life.
