HELMUT ZERLETT: PORTRÄTKONZERT
(orig. HELMUT ZERLETT: PORTRÄTKONZERT)
90 min
Helmut Zerlett, film composer, band leader and keyboarder, has to date composed the music for 22 feature films, 28 TV films and more than 90 TV series. At the BIFF this year he will be receiving the "White Lion" for his life's work in film music – reason enough to dedicate a portrait concert to him which reviews the many exciting facets of his film scores.
The programme includes suites from Zerletts film music: music from JERRY COTTON, HAUS DER KROKODILE (HOUSE OF CROCODILES), NEUES VOM WIXXER (NEWS FROM WIXXER), TATORT – DIE GUTEN UND DIE BÖSEN (TATORT – THE GOOD AND THE BAD), VAMPIRSCHWESTERN (VAMPIRE SISTERS, KALTE FÜSSE (COLD FEET). On stage with Helmut Zerlett are the Akademix (the band of the German Film Academy) and the Braunschweig State Orchestra.
