Csoma's award-winning feature film debut is a poignant work concerning the realisation that grief cannot be postponed and that the days pass by. It tells the story of Hilda Sterczer, widow of mountaineer Zsolt Erőss. During the Kangchenjunga expedition in 2013, Hilda must helplessly endure, from thousands of kilometres away, the death of her husband and mentor due to exhaustion from his descent from the summit. "When I wake up in the morning, I always hope it was all just a nightmare." But life does not wait for her. She has a daughter in kindergarten and a two-month-old son to care for, and must live up to the public's expectations. But she is in danger of breaking down as a result of the increasingly hopeless battle against grief.

Director's Biography:Sándor Csoma studied film directing in the class of Ildikó Enyedi at the University of Theatre and Film Arts Budapest. He is a writer and director of internationally awarded short films as well. CASTING has won the Hungarian Film Critics Award at the Hungarian Film Awards.
