Greenhouse Studies addresses the future of humanity in space. Using examples from space history, the different models of planted and unplanted, as well as manned and unmanned space stations are highlighted. Using the EU:Cropis space mission as an example, the plant growth of tomatoes, lettuce and basil and the regenerative system of a fish farm will be examined. Historical experiments by Tsiolkovsky, von Braun and O'Neill are compared. The film shows utopias and dystopias of current research.
