In the winter of 1952, Eva and Dieter danced together for the first time. They married, built a house, had three children. They have argued, had their doubts, have overcome crises and have grown old together. Now Eva's strength is beginning to fade. For the very last time, they embark on a new path as a couple, looking back at the happy moments, but also at the inevitable that lies ahead. Photos, letters and diary entries, to which Nina Hoss lends her voice, provide humorous and brutally honest insights into the inner life of a long-term relationship. In this poetic film, director Pia Lenz proves herself to be a sensitive and subtle observer.
