For many Finns, Vladimir Lenin is to thank for Finland’s independence from Russia in 1917. But with Putin’s aggression in Ukraine, citizens of Kotka near the Russian border, have to re-evaluate their views about the fate of Finland’s last remaining Lenin statue. Is the bronze monument a disgrace, a tourist attraction, art, or all of the above?

Director's Biography:Einari Paakkanen is a Finnish Director focusing on human interest stories and on warm and intimate storytelling.Inka Achté is a Helsinki-based documentary filmmaker and a former sales agent with nearly 20 years of experience working in the film and TV industries.
