‘Fleisch‘ (transl. "flesh", "meat") is an evocative journey into self-devaluation caused by traumatic experience. The narrow aspect ratio and the overwhelming, muffled sound force the viewer in a corner in this POV-film. Pictures of a seemingly real world flicker on a TV screen while one's own disappears hopelessly in a greasy mush. Although, why not? What are we if not a piece of meat anyway?
