A nouveau riche family (writer with writer’s block, unemployed gallery owner, teenage daughter with leukaemia) lives in a modernist villa, literally in a glass house. When Julien, the husband’s 25-year-old son from a previous relationship, joins them, strange events begin to unfold as the head of the household pursues obscure plans. A grotesque social satire “somewhere between Ruben Ostlund and Yorgos Lathimos”, as Movie Waffler writes. We can expect a crazy comedy with ingredients of mystery and black humour with surrealistic interludes. Slovenian director Sonja Prosenc succeeds in creating fascinating images and ingenious twists in the plot.

Director's Biography:Sonja Prosenc's THE TREE was the Slovenian Oscar submission in 2016. HISTORY OF LOVE premiered in Karlovy Vary in 2018, with a special mention from the jury. The premiere of FAMILY THERAPY took place at the Tribeca Festival in 2024.
