In this Austrian horror film, we accompany overweight 15-year-old Simi who spends the Easter weekend with her aunt Claudia and her family on the farm. Simi hopes her aunt, a professional nutritionist, will help her lose weight. But very quickly she has to realise that all is not right on the farm. Simi's cousin Filipp acts strangely hostile towards her, but Filipp's stepfather Stefan is the exact opposite. Claudia's diet instructions take on militant overtones. What is behind this bizarre behaviour? A thrilling psychological horror film that teaches us dread and touches our deepest primal fears.

Director's Biography:Peter Hengl, *1983 in Kufstein, Austria, studied screenwriting and dramaturgy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Vienna Film Academy) under Götz Spielmann and Michael Haneke, among others. Since then he has been a freelance screenwriter and director. FAMILY DINNER is his feature film debut.
