Together with main sponsor Volkswagen Financial Services, BIFF is awarding this year's main prize, THE EUROPA, to a man who is equally at home on the theatre stage, in the cinema, on TV and in audio books and is rightly regarded as Germany's most versatile international cinema star: Sebastian Koch. The Filmfest is dedicating a showcase of nine films to him, which the actor, born in Karlsruhe in 1962, has personally selected from his extensive oeuvre. Readings are another facet of Koch's work. We are therefore extremely pleased to present a very special literary concert: A musical reading with Sebastian Koch and the renowned violinist Daniel Hope.
