Jim Lagota, an old jazz musician, is stranded in a small Welsh seaside resort. He meets a young German, Hugo, who founds an undertaker’s business as there are so many old pensioners around, but the town is too small for two undertakers: Hugo is broke – but then Jim takes matters in hand and business begins to hum.
