Together with their families, sisters Juste and Ernesta are planning to spend a carefree weekend in a country house by the lake. But a tragic accident changes the lives of the two women forever. Through flashbacks and repetitions, the causes and consequences of the tragic event become clear, with each character trying to deal with the recurring memories and emotional trauma in their own way. In his second film as a director, Laurynas Bareiša deals with the near-drowning of his son: „This event was followed by increased anxiety and panic attacks. Processing this experience was the beginning of this project.“

Director's Biography:Laurynas Bareiša from Lithuania is a director, cinematographer and editor. After several short films, he made his feature film debut PILGRIMS in 2021. His second film DROWNING DRY premiered in Locarno, won Best Director and is Lithuania's Oscar entry.
