Although Marco is from the lowlands, he is a robust guy. In a remote Swiss alpine village, he helps mountain farmer Alois out, and even at the regulars' table people are slowly learning to appreciate the iced tea drinker. Anna, in turn, is originally from the village, her daughter Julia is from a previous relationship. Many doubt that the new one will work out. Marco and Anna don't. They marry. Their love is gentle and beautiful. They invoke it with simple words. They can't grasp it. The trust grows, the tenderness remains, every touch a happiness, only to be surpassed in warmth by stroking cowhide. But soon Marco seems to lose control of his impulses more and more often.

Director's Biography:Michael Koch teaches at the Cologne Film Academy and was born in Lucerne in 1982. Studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, worked as an actor and theatre director. After the award-winning film MARIJA, DRII WINTER is his second feature film.
